Jeff was an NAU Letter-winner 1983-1985. His Junior and Senior years at Nogales High School he played tailback averaging over 1500 yards each season and earned Scholar-athlete awards, as well.
He transferred to NAU from Cal Poly (SLO) and became a leader on the defensive side of the football.
Jeff Randle El showed a lot of promise as a football player. Although Randle El was not chosen in the 1986 National Football League draft, the Kansas City Chiefs signed the 235-pound linebacker from Northern Arizona University as a free agent. But after the team doctors took a look at RandleEl’s knee, the Chiefs released him.
He was shot and killed in the mid to late 80‘s on May 3rd in a Claremont California Alley. His shooter has since been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
