Carl played Running Back for NAU from 1975-78

“Carl was an extraordinary man. I am so proud to have been his teammate at Hollywood Hills High School on the '73 State Championship team. Carl was the biggest piece of the puzzle we needed. Carl became an outstanding fullback! Quite an accomplishment for a player who started out the season as a guard. I remember knowing when Carl would break out for a long run as his head would tilt back. Seeing that meant he was going for a long one. He was a man of good character, a friend and my teammate.”
